Real Estate Closing Services

For real estate closings, the following services are usually involved:

  1. For the Seller: negotiating and preparing the Purchase and Sale Agreement; providing the Buyer's attorney with a Deed; obtaining mortgage payoffs, and attending the closing if the Seller is not able to attend in person.
  2. For the Buyer: negotiate and prepare the Purchase and Sale Agreement; handle the closing for the Buyer's mortgage lender, provide a fifty year title search; assist in clearing or resolving any title issues found by the title search; obtain mortgage payoffs for any of the Seller's existing mortgages; handle the actual mortgage closing; record documents; disburse funds; and issue title insurance.
